Artistic Adventures With Faber-Castell

Art lovers and creative types can look forward to nine days of artistic adventures at the first Faber-Castell Art Festival.

Presented by German manufacturer of writing and colouring products as well as the world’s oldest pencil manufacturer Faber-Castell, the art festival features two record-breaking events, interactive workshops by local and overseas art makers, an art exhibition by local emerging artists and a colouring competition for families.


• Biggest Mosaic By Colour Markers
27 May, 11am
Check out the multi-coloured Singapore Skyline installation, constructed by hand over two days by a Faber-Castell artist using approximately 25,000 Faber-Castell Connector Pens. Spanning 5m in length, 1.5m in width and 85cm in height, the installation is aiming for the “Biggest Mosaic by Colour Markers” accolade in the Singapore Book of Records.

• Longest Banner Of Human Figurine Sketches
27 May, 12.30pm
Catch the sketching action on a 10m long canvas using Faber-Castell's iconic Castell 9000 pencils for another attempt to get into the Singapore Book of Records.

Take your pick of workshops – from brush lettering and watercolour painting to fashion and botanical illustrations.

Creative Drawing With Peter Draw

Singaporean artist Peter Draw (born Peter Zhuo Ying Wei) is a four-time Guinness World Record holder who uses his first love – drawing – to remind the world to “First, Love” (begin with love)

Art Experiences With The Lettering Workbook
27 & 28 May, 3 & 4 June, various timings
Brush lettering & watercolour workshops, $85 each, $150 for both

Conducted by Kai Yun, a Singaporean graphic designer by day, the fun and breezy workshops cover a variety of styles and media

Fashion Illustration With Chan Clayrene

Singapore-based fashion artist and illustrator Chan Clayrene is best known for illustrating her works with nail polish

Colour Pencil Illustration With Tiffany Yao

Learn basic drawing and colouring skills centred around the subject of "Cupcake Fantasy" from Singaporean artist, designer and illustrator Tiffany Yao

Filipino artist, designer and author Abbey Sy is best known for her hand-lettering work and travel illustrations

Singaporean watercolour artist and teacher Lucinda Law became the first artist in Singapore to be appointed as the Faber-Castell Singapore Art & Graphic Ambassador in 2017

Art Exhibition

Check out 24 works by local artists such as Aaron Gan, Artclaytion, Limzy, Joseph Ng, Julie Zhu, Lucinda Law, KY Huang, Tee Bee Tin and Tiffany Yao. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of these artworks will be donated to the Children’s Cancer Foundation.

Lim Zhi Wei, who goes by the nickname Limzy, is a Malaysian artist based in Singapore
