Great Value, Cosy Lifestyle Hub: Novotel Singapore on Stevens
Located along Stevens Road, at the fringe of the famous shopping belt of Orchard Road, Novotel Singapore on Stevens is perfect for those who want to be close to all the shopping action but far from the madding crowd.
To get to Orchard Road, just hop onto the hotel’s free shuttle bus which runs every half an hour from 10am to 9.30pm daily. The drop-off and pick-up point is at T Galleria by DFS on Scotts Road.
Opened in October 2017, the 254-room hotel is part of a new integrated lifestyle hub (where the former Pines Country Club was located) that comprises sister hotel Mercure Singapore on Stevens in the next building and a cluster of restaurants in standalone buildings.
At the hotel’s bright and chic lobby, you’ll be greeted by a captivating chandelier that’s made up of a series of crystal droplets illuminated by optic fibre points to reflect Singapore’s rejuvenating precipitation cycles. Designed to form a multitude of cascading rain drops, the chandelier elicits a feeling of calmness that’s reminiscent of the stillness just before a heavy rainfall.
L’Apéritif Tapas Bar serves cocktails along with European and Asian tapas
The hotel houses three dining outlets: L’Apéritif Tapas Bar, which offers cocktails along with European and Asian tapas; Food Exchange, which serves Thai, Indian, European and local cuisine cooked at live cooking stations; and Novotel Infinity Pool Bar, which serves drinks and pool-side snacks.
At Food Exchange, dishes are prepared at open kitchen stations
3 Things We ♥ About The Hotel
1. Cool, Cosy Room
Our 23sqm Deluxe Room felt spacious and featured a playful palette of yellow, black, blue and grey tones. We especially love the three triangular throw pillows on the bed which are the perfect match for the triangular-themed headboard, yellow-streaked grey carpets and bright yellow chair.
The room comes with complimentary minibar which was stocked with soft drinks, juice, beer, chips and chocolate.
2. Lounge With A View
When we’re not in our room, we’re chilling out at the Premier Lounge on level 10. Open from 6.30am to 10.30pm daily, the lounge serves buffet breakfast, evening cocktails and light bites as well as all-day refreshments in the form of coffee, tea, juices, soft drinks, nuts and cookies.
Sit by the window to soak up views of suburban greenery and the peaceful residential neighbourhood of Stevens Road.
We were impressed with the generous spread of Western and Asian dishes served with free-flow of alcohol during Happy Hour from 6pm to 8pm. We tucked into pasta, meatballs, fried chicken, fried beehoon, sushi, salad, cold cuts, pizzas, steamed buns, cheeses and cakes.
3. Access To Two Swimming Pools
We were pretty stoked that we could swim in two different pools. We naturally gyrate to infinity pools – and the Novotel infinity pool just outside Food Exchange is pretty cool – but we found ourselves lounging more at Mercure’s quieter 35m lap pool which is located next to the 24-hour fitness centre.

We recommend being at either pool just before sunset to enjoy the golden hour, magical glow and cool evening breeze.
