Sentosa Attractions

July 03, 2017

Home to a wide variety of attractions, Sentosa Island offers something for everyone – from beaches and exciting rides to theme and water parks.

Here are three attractions to check out:

Sentosa Merlion
Imbiah Lookout
10am – 8pm daily  (last entry at 7.30pm)
$12 adult, $9 child/senior (standard tickets)

Singapore’s legendary icon is a must-visit! The 37m tall mythical creature with a lion’s head and a fish’s body is a guardian of prosperity which personifies Singapore’s history as an important seaport.

The lion head depicts the folklore of Prince Sang Nila Utama’s discovery of lion (singa) and city (pura), while the fish tail symbolises the fishing village of ‘Temasek”, also known as “sea town” in Javanese. Today, the majestic Merlion is a Singapore icon attracting visitors from all over the world.

The Sentosa Merlion is the only Merlion in Singapore where you can learn all about the urban myth and uncover treasures inside its body.

Singapore Cable Car Sky Network
8.45am – 10pm daily (last boarding at 9.30pm)

One of the best – and most scenic – ways to get to and from Sentosa Island is via the Singapore Cable Car.

The Cable Car cabins can seat up to eight people and feature large windows which offer splendid panoramic views of the city, harbour and Sentosa Island from an elevation of 120 metres above sea level.

You may board the Mount Faber Line from the Cable Car Stations at Faber Peak on Mount Faber, HarbourFront Tower 2 or Imbiah Lookout on Sentosa Island.

Besides enjoying free admission into Sentosa Island with the Mount Faber Line ticket, be sure to visit Asia’s first Cable Car Museum at Imbiah Lookout on Sentosa Island.

You can also get around Sentosa Island by Cable Car via the Sentosa Line which has three stations – Merlion, Imbiah Lookout and Siloso Point.

The Sentosa Line takes you to attractions such as Madame Tussauds, MegaZip Adventure Park, Skyline Luge Sentosa, Sentosa 4D AdventureLand, Tiger Sky Tower, S.E.A. Aquarium, Underwater World and Universal Studios Singapore.
