Celebrate all things Singapore at Sentosa The State of Fun from now till 27 August.

Enjoy a host of fun free activities, all featuring a distinct local flavour, as well as National Day promotions in celebration of Singapore’s 52nd birthday.


Merlion Magic Lights

7.45pm, 8.15pm, 8.45pm & 9.15pm (two additional shows at 9.45pm & 10.15pm on weekends, eve of public holiday & public holiday)

See the majestic Sentosa Merlion come to life with vibrant and colourful National Day-themed lights and projections when night falls! Apart from the theme of patriotism, the ever-popular light and music extravaganza now comes with an added technological feature that allows you to experience augmented reality effects while watching the show through your smartphone. Just download the free marq+ App, available on both the App Store and Google Play Store.

Merlion Plaza (Imbiah Station) & Beach Station

Playing Chapteh

Whip out your smartphone and capture images of Singapore icons with a dose of augmented reality at five photo points spread out across Merlion Plaza, Beach Plaza and Beach Station. Relive your childhood at one of these photo points at Beach Plaza with nostalgic kampung games like the colourful Five Stones, the exciting Chapteh and the exciting Eraser Game.

• Sounds Of The Lion City
Every Saturday till 26 August
5.30pm, 6.30pm & 7.55pm

Catch a string of free Saturday performances that are based on Singapore’s four ethnic groups. Experience a myriad of activities including traditional face-changing (Biàn Liǎn), Wushu performance, Peranakan folk songs, classic Indian songs and even an East-meets-West fusion music that brings together the Erhu with the likes of a music keyboard and more.

• Artisans’ Bazaar
Every Saturday till 27 August
4.30pm – 9.30pm
Merlion Plaza Linkway Bridge (Imbiah Station)


Shop for an array of vintage goods and handmade collectibles such as handmade zen figurines, grandfather clocks, dreamcatchers, recycled tins with functional lights, hand wax modeling and handmade miniature clay dollhouses at this crafts fair.

• Fort Siloso & Revamped Surrender Chambers
10am – 6pm daily

Surrender Chambers

Learn about Singapore’s glorious history and the heroes who laid their lives for the country’s success at Fort Siloso. Built in the late 19th century, Fort Siloso is a “witness” to Singapore’s rise from a fishing village to the megacity it is today. At Fort Siloso's newly revamped Surrender Chambers, explorers can relive some of the historical moments in an experiential journey, guided by light and sound effects through six interactive zones.
